Description
18th Century yellow gold watch fob and ring, body of fob is heavily decorated with a foliate motif, set with a carnelian engraved with the armorial crest of Governor Thomas Sim Lee (1745-1819), Second Governor of Maryland. The ring is about 1 1/2 inches square; the seal itself is a reddish stone and the ring holder is gold colored.

Description
Gilt framed commission printed and hand-written appointing John Slaven, Lieutenant in the first Battalion of the 81st Regiment, dated 5-6-1793. Signed Henry, Governor of Virginia Sight size: 121/2 x 71/2". Henry Lee III (known as "Light-Horse Harry") served as an American Revolutionary War officer and later was elected the ninth Governor of Virginia. He was Maryland Governor Thomas Sim Lee's cousin.
