Description
Booklet and CD, Jacob Engelbrecht: French horn player, chorister, and diarist of the Engelbrecht family musical history by Hollis Thomas (self-published, 2017). Jacob Englebrecht (1797-1878) was a citizen of Frederick, MD and served a town Mayor during the Civil War era.
The book includes an essay by Thoms and copies of historic scores by John Conrad Engelbrecht, nephew of Jacob Engelbrecht. The Audio CD recording is Thoms' computer realization of the Engelbrecht score of The Star Spangled Banner for Band and Vocal.
