A book, Jessica's First Prayer, by Hesba Stretton, pen name of Sarah Smith. From handwritten note in book, this book was given to Evelyn Tretbar Snowden's mother, H. Margaret "Maggie" for Christmas in 1901 by her Sunday School Teacher, Ida H. Ougle(?), and it was later given to Evelyn for Easter in 1920.

One newspaper article about "Official Maryland Symbols" (1968), specifically, the Crossland coat of arms. The other news clippings are about the marriage and divorce of Evelyn Tretbar Snowden's parents, Hannah Margaret McAllister and George Oscar Makin.
