John Ridout's account with Anne Ogle. Receipts re her shares in Annapolis Trading Company. Ridout tracks 11 numbered "Certificates for Mrs. Ogle's paper money lent the State" [of Maryland]. The Continental Bills of credit were issued by Treasurer T. Harwood.

Account tracks expenses from April through August for various stores (bedding, yardgoods), passage from London to Bologne in April, return from Bologne to London in May. Mention of return to Annapolis in August, debts listed for boat going ashore at Annapolis, sums to the "Sailors, Cook and Cabbinboy," fees for hauling furniture to the house, freight for furniture from Baltimore, including duties.

Description
Samuel Ridout (2): re St. John's College and King William's School [KWS]. School referred to as KWS in 1777 in a note to Charles Steuart about "rent due on the Lott of ground adjoining the Kentish house in this city." Account of Doctor George Steuart with KWS from 1738-1804, mentioning fine on lease of Donaldson House, cash paid Col. Chas. Hammond, J. Brice, W. Dulany, Upton Scott. Mention of efforts to "revive" St. John's College in 1819. Also mention of the Free School [aka King William's School] in a 1783 note to Charles Stewart about rent due. 11 items.
