Description
Documents concerning James Smith (1736-1811), manager of Dr. John Stevenson's copper mines near Libertytown, FR, 1765, assistant manager of the Potomac Co., 1786 & manager of Potomac Co., 1788. Smith was executor of estate of George Matthews who was a manager for the Principio Company.
