Description
Newspaper articles related to the Battle of North Point which took place at Fort McHenry on Sept. 12, 1814 in which the British were defeated in their attempt to capture the city of Baltimore. This inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem "The Star Spangled Banner" that became our national anthem.
