This file includes a long letter written by Elizabeth Winston Meade who mentions the following family members: Aunt Mary, Jamison, Chaille, Cora, the Dilworth “aunts,” Elizabeth’s mother, and Uncle Joe. She also mentions Mrs. Robley Jones, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Hazelhurst, Mary Elizabeth, and Miss Marnie Burnett. In addition, there is a short note from Rozelle’s brother, Lazarus in Fort Myers, Florida. Her brother, Jamison, sent her two picture postcards: one of Fall Creek Boulevard, Indianapolis, Indiana and the other of Hotel Miami in Dayton, Ohio. There is a third picture postcard of East River Drive, Farmount Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Included in the file is a 3x5 card listing care instructions for an individual, a note from Maria, and a child’s note from Jack B-. There is a photograph of seven children which is undated and unidentified. Instructions for a mile-a-minute crochet pattern are written on the back of a partial letter. The file includes a letter of thanks for her work with the Women’s Section of the State Council of Defense. Letter is dated January 13, 1920. There is an envelope with the identical seal to the one on the letter, postmarked June 14, 1920. |
