Description
Most of the material in this file seems to pertain to Sunday School operations. There are bills from the Presbyterian Board of Publication and Sabbath School Work marked paid. These bills indicate that Rozelle Handy purchased lessons, certificates, gold stars, reward tickets, and books. There are several copies of the 1917-1918 Worcester County Sunday School Association Annual Report as well as a blank copy of the Statistical Report for 1917 to the Worcester County Sunday School Association. Correspondents in the file include Ryda Johnson, May Gilliss, and David Flora. There is a very interesting carbon copy of a write up on Rozelle Handy’s experiences with illiteracy in the Synepuxent area of Worcester County. The carbon copy is edited and has a handwritten note addressed to Miss Handy on it.
