Description
In this file are a couple enrollment cards for the Cradle Roll: one for John James Gibbs and one for John Homes Birch. There is also a picture postcard announcing the birth of a baby girl in the John V. Fromie household as well as a mimeographed parable about a lost child and a song card with a handwritten notation indicating it was good for beginners. In addition, there is correspondence from Mrs. J.M. Moore, Tronia, and David C. Cook, Jr., Managing Editor for the Cradle Roll Department Superintendent. The file also includes a pamphlet for Children’s Week from Children’s Division of the International Sunday School Association. There is a series of letters concerning the situation of a family related to Mrs. Edward Hastings. The family which includes Mrs. Sarah M. Purnell, Miss Mamie Purnell and her children Bessie, Ralph, and Hellen, are unable to care for themselves adequately. Calvin B. Taylor, a lawyer from Berlin, Maryland was also involved.
