MARY'S COUNTY COURT (Equity Papers) 205 Jane Rock vs. James Rock ITEMS: petition [1842]; commission report March 1844 COMMENTS: Jane Rock seeks divorce because husband married her for her money; the 1840 U.S. census listed James Rock as head of household, age 50 to 60; Jane age 60 to 70; and two slaves, ages 10 to 24, male and female.
