Description
Payment by Nicholas Hutchins, Jr. of 33 shillings & 7 pence for building a road. This was the road he had petitioned the General Assembly for to be from his property to the road to Monkton Mills. This is the part of the Old York Road that borders the eastern boundary of St. James Church property. In 1787 the road to York was west of St. James Church nearly opposite Irish Ave. and park of Markoe Road.
