Description
19th century legislation concerning court stenographers: 1864 Laws of Maryland Ch. 280 "AN ACT to add a new section to Article four of the Code of Public Local Laws authorizing the Judge of the Superior Court to employ a Stenographer." 1867 Laws of Maryland Ch. 373 "AN ACT entitled an Act to repeal an act entitled 'An act to add a new section to article four of the Code of Public Local Laws, authorizing the Judge of the Superior Court to employ a Stenographer passed on the seventeenth of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter two hundred and eighty, to re-enact the same with amendments, and to insert additional provisions for the appointment of Stenographers for the Court of Common Pleas and the Orphan's Court of the City of Baltimore.'" 1888 Laws of Maryland ch. 363 (Frederick County) 1896 Laws of Maryland ch. 183 (Carroll County) 1896 Laws of Maryland ch. 299 (5 Eastern Shore counties)
