Description
Thomas G. Pratt
Bio Page

Died on 9 November 1869 in Baltimore. Gov. Bowie suspended all executive business and ordered flags lowered. Service held in Baltimore (at his residence in Baltimore?) on 11 November 1869, after which body was transported by special train to Annapolis for funeral and burial at St. Anne's. Funeral was attended by a number of state dignitaries.

Account of Pratt's funeral appeared in the Annapolis Gazette of 18 November 1869. Unfortunatly most of the article about it is missing from the film of that issue; only a small portion of someone's eulogy seems to be survive. Currently unable to find other papers that copied the account.

"Death of Ex-Gov Pratt." The Sun, 10 November 1869.

"Governor Bowie--respect to the Late Ex-Governor Pratt &c." The Sun, 11 November 1869.

"Funeral of Ex-Governor Pratt." The Sun, 12 November 1869.
