Panoramic photograph mounted on board taken by the National Photographic News Service, Crowd Assembled at the Dedication of the Crain Highway Monument by Governor Albert C. Ritchie at [Main Street] Upper Marlboro, Maryland on September 30, 1922. Size: 9 x 32 inches.
This monument marked the beginning of construction for the Baltimore - Southern Maryland Highway which commenced on September 30, 1922. The Crain Highway Monument was designed by Baltimore architect, Howard Still.
