Description
Robert Goodloe Harper, Speech to the Citizens of Baltimore on the Expediency of Promoting a Connexion between the Ohio, at Pittsburgh, and the Waters of the Chesapeake at Baltimore, By a Canal throught the District of Columbia. With his reply to some of the objections of Mr. Winchester, Delivered at a meeting, held at the Exchange, December 20, 1823.
Baltimore: Published by Edward J. Coale, Printed by Benjamin Edes, 1824.
Cover reads "General Harper's Speech on Canals," and has "Wm. Geo. Krebs (?) Baltimore" written at the top.
Has a fold-out map of the United States in the back.

Pasted inside cover is a green label that reads "The Property of _________ 1865. [picture of Shakespeare] This book was bought at the sign of Shakspear's Head, 104 Lexington St. Baltimore, MD. Borrowing neighbors are recommended to supply themselves in the same manner."
