Published weekly by Thomas S. Keating. Disbound issues formerly in bound volume. The inside cover lists important local events covered by this time period.

This newspaper volume was given to the Queen Anne's County Free Library by the Hon. Thomas J. Keating, Judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court from 1922-1942 and son of the editor. The volume was salvaged from a fire which burned Thomas S. Keating's office and printing press.

Includes issues from January 24, 1860, all March-October issues, and November 6, 20, and 27.
