Description
History of Old White Marsh Church, White Marsh Parish, Trappe; and "The Migration from the Eastern Shore to Ohio," based on the journal of Thomas Bowdle, Jr. and records of Levi Hurst, documenting the journey from Dorchester County, Maryland to Ross County, OH, 1800. Of special interest are Bowdle's reasons for moving west including the shortcomings of the slave economy.
