Description
Letter from William Seth, Head of Wye, to John Gibson, Esq., Baltimore. Seth is distressed over Gibson's handling of "my note to Mr. Carroll" and is expecting Gibson to correct the situation. Seth is hopeful of borrowing from Carroll to purchase John L. Elbert's and Jacob Gibson's lands to keep in the family. Seth has plenty of hands to work all the acreage. Mentions: N. Noble and M. Bordley, deceased; Rebecca's Garden; Mr. Bullett; John Gibson is apparently a trustee for at least some of the lands involved; recent birth of Seth's son.
