Description
Video interview conducted by Andrew Forschler on September 13, 2025 with Madeline La Salle Frazier at the Hyattsville Branch Library, Prince George's County. This oral history was captured as part of The Latino History Project. Madeline la Salle Frazier grew up moving constantly with her family from Puerto Rico to Pennsylvania, back to Puerto Rico, then to the South Bronx in New York City. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s in Sociology at Hunter College and attended the institution’s Silberman School of Social Work where she obtained her Masters of Social Work degree. A few years after receiving her Master’s Degree, Frazier moved to Arlington, Virginia, where she found her passion for education as part of the Arlington Public School system. Frazier currently works as the Coordinator of the Academy at Arlington Career Center and owner of Frazier Fearless Coaching and Consulting. Outside of her work, Frazier founded and served as Executive Director of Latinas Leading Tomorrow, a nonprofit focused on preparing and mentoring the next generation of Latina leaders. She was previously a member of the Prince George’s County Public Schools Board of Education from 2022 to 2024. Over the past two years, Frazier joined Prince George’s County Latino Advisory Board and the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Duration: 16:34
