(Baltimore: Saml. Sands & Son) The American Farmer and Rural Register began publication January 1872 [new ser. (8th), v. 1, no. 1] and ceased December 1873 [new ser. (8th), v. 2, no. 12]. It was published monthly. The newspaper continues the American Farmer (Baltimore: 1849), absorbed the Rural Register January 1872, and was continued by the American Farmer (Baltimore: 1874).
