The Republican and Argus began publication January 1, 1847 [v. 32, no. 7,693] and ceased November 30, 1848 [v. 33, no. 8,283]. It was published daily, except Sunday. Other editions include the Baltimore Republican (Baltimore: 1827). The newspaper continues the Daily Republican and Argus (Baltimore: 1845) and was continued by the Daily Republican and Argus (Baltimore: 1848).
