(Hagers-Town, Washington County: Printed by Thomas Grieves) The Maryland Herald, and Hager's-Town Weekly Advertiser began publication February 22, 1804 [v. 8 (i.e., 7), no. 365] and ceased in 1826[?]. It was published weekly. The newspaper continues the Maryland Herald, and Elizabeth-Town Weekly Advertiser (Elizabeth Town: 1801) and was absorbed by the Torch Light & Public Advertister (Hagerstown: 1817).
