The Republican Star, or, Eastern Shore Political Luminary began publication in August 1799 and ceased August 31, 1802. It was published weekly. Title history based on February 11, 1800 [v.1, no. 25]. It was also published as the Eastern Shore Political Luminary. "Republican Star or" appears within title ornament. The newspaper was continued by the Republican Star, or, Eastern Shore General Advertiser (Easton: 1802).
