Collection History
(Baltimore: Printed by David Graham, October 24, 1791; D[avid] Graham, L[eonard] Yundt, and W[illiam] Patton, April 29, 1793) The Baltimore Daily Repository began publication October 24, 1791 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased October 19, 1793 [v. 2, no. 621]. It was published daily, except Sunday. The newspaper was continued by the Baltimore Daily Intelligencer (Baltimore: 1793). The Baltimore Daily Repository was established by David Graham, who was editor and publisher until April 29, 1793, when he was joined by Leonard Yundt and William Patton. The paper was enlarged and published until October 19, 1793, when David Graham left the business. Yundt and Patton continued publishing the paper, changing the title to Baltimore Daily Intelligencer. Issues of this newspaper were filmed from the collection of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, deposited at the Pratt by the Peabody Institute Library. The papers may have belonged originally to John Eager Howard, whose signature appears above the masthead of the issue of October 24, 1791. Archives' collection includes issues for October 24-December 31, 1791 and January 2-April 14, 1792.
