History
(Chestertown, Kent County: S. W. Spencer) The Kent News began publication May 2, 1840[?] and ceased January 26, 1946 [v. 121, no. 41]. It was published weekly. Title history based on May 9, 1840. The newspaper merged with the Chestertown Transcript (Chestertown: 1862) to form the Kent County News (Chestertown: 1946).
