History
(Chestertown, Kent County: E. F. Perkins) The Chestertown Transcript began publication on May 20, 1862 [vol. 1, no. 1] and ceased January 25, 1946 [v. 83, no. 47]. It was published weekly. The newspaper merged with the Kent News (Chestertown: 1840) to form the Kent County News (Chestertown: 1946).
