Includes books and articles relating to the industrial history of Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and York County, Pennsylvania (especially ice manufacturing, papermaking, and iron ore mining), including a compiled history of papermaking in Maryland by May A. Seitz. More recent materials (largely located in 5767-3) are photos and genealogical research compiled by Raymond Carlton Seitz (grandson of May Albright Seitz). Also included are bound genealogical research compilations by May A. Seitz.

Family history:
Donor: Raymond Carlton, son of Raymond Albright Seitz and grandson of May Albright Seitz and S. Clayton Seitz. Great-grandson of Milton Albright, and great-great grandson of William Davis Hoffman. The Hoffman, Albright, and Seitz families were located in York County, PA, and Baltimore County, MD, and, according to May Albright Seitz, are descendants of German immigrants to the area in the latter half of the 18th Century. The families were involved in agriculture and industry in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and engaged primarily in farming, paper production, and ice manufacturing.

Hoffman- Family and portrait photographs of family members, houses, and businesses belonging to the family. The family largely settled in Baltimore County, north of Baltimore City, and operated several paper mills including Gunpowder Mill, Gross Mill, and Clipper Mill. Related families include the Swam family and the Dandy family.
Albright- The Albright series is largely focused on the children of Sarah Hoffman Albright (1839-1928) and Milton Albright (1839-1918) and their children and descendants. Most family members and descendants lived in York County, Pa. and Baltimore County, Md. May Albright Seitz (1871-1964), grandmother of R. Carlton Seitz, was a daughter of Sarah and Milton Albright. Families associated with or related to the Albright family include the Rowe family, the Pritchett family, the Kone family, and the Watson and Bortner families.
Seitz- Family photos, photos relating to Towson Ice Company and other ice manufacturing businesses, including Carroll Ice Company and Independent Ice Company (purchased by S. C. Seitz 1909, later renamed Towson Ice Company).
