The book formed a part of Judge John Souse's library and was transferred to the MSA as a gift in honor of Dr. Edward C. Papenfuse's many years of dedicated service to the Maryland State Archives as well as his years of friendship with Judge and Judy Sause, which gave them both many happy times together.
