E. W. Seabrook Hull, editor of Ocean Science News, left, and two unknown men, sitting on a bench. Hull served as Chairman of the Public Relations Committee and was a member of the Steering Committee for the First Governor's Conference on the Chesapeake Bay.
Written on the back of the photograph, by Nellie F. Hull, Hull's wife: "E.W.S.H - Chairman Publicity - Ocean Science News-Editor. First Governor's Conference on the Chesapeake Bay Wye Mills Institute - Wye Milles, MD - September, 1968 The State finally getting concerned about pollution ruining the bay. We were living on Kent Island at the time overlooking Eastern Bay. E.W.S.H had oyster and crabbing licenses which he used. Did a lot of fishing, photographing Skipjack Fleet, winter birds, moonlight sojourns, entertaining house guests and a trip we took to N. Carolina through the Intracoastal Waterway on a business trip in our old Deadrise fishing boat "Miss Nancy". Lived there from 1966 to 1982 when moved to S. Carolina - Columbia."
