Description
Photograph (8x10) of Mary McConnell Donavin and her children. Notes by V. Ardnt- "Left to right, back row: Simpson Kirkwood, Matthew Watson, John Wesley. Front: Sallie or Mary A., Mary Jane (m. John Thompson Rippey). Date of photo: Before June 1893 (when John Wesley died) After 1881 (when Mary's husband, Levi, died) My guess: about 1890. The writing on the back of the photo is by Helen Donavin Sellman, granddaughter of Matthew Watson Donavin- and Helen's notation of Mary's age is incorrect. Mary died in 1894 at age 90. (She was born in 1800)."
