Document includes a letter from J. A. Hawken from Richmond, Va., Sibby Prson, September 10, 1862 (?) to his mother, a 1969 letter from William B. Stansbury, Jr., Grand Master of The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland to Mrs. Ruth Hawken, and a cutout from a map of a brief summary of "Williamsport History."

A Caxton Edition of Lemuel Gulliver's book that includes Travels Into Several Remote Nations of the World (Guilliver's Travels) and The Travels and Surprising Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Published by Belford, Clarke and Co., Chicago and New York, in 1884. The signature of A. S. McClain is in the book.

Description
Sixteen pins from various organizations including the Royal Arch Masons, The American Red Cross, the Grand Lodge of Maryland Masons, the Democratic Convention in Chicago, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.). One Waltham pocket watch with the initials R.G.H. engraved on the back. One cloth patch from Women's Auxilliary, Washington County Hospital for a Volunteer.

Description
An old wooden pencil box with a poem and picture of Jack and Jill on the lid. Inside the box includes: The Holland School and Drawing Crayons manufactured by Charles P. Holland, three pencils, a box of polygrade leads degree No. 2 (two pieces left) by A. W. Faber Pencil Manufactory (1761), a glass ink dip pen with wood holding provided by Armstrong and Co. Fire Insurance, Real Estate, a small tin box, the label has"'Auditor' E-640, Eagle, Steel Pens," with three pen tips, two small canisters, and one pin from the United States Air Force Observer. The name and drawings of Richard Hawken are scribbled on the pencil box and the wooden glass dip pen holder.
