Description
Sketch made by Robert Basil Moss of the Battle of North Point, entitled "The Fight for the Little Brick House." Moss, who was 18 at the time, participated in this battle and he also swam Bear Creek at night with a message to the commanding officer of the right when it was discovered that the British were withdrawing.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Robert Basil Moss served as a private in Captain Andrew Slicer’s Company, 22d Maryland Regiment that was assigned to Brig General Thomas M. Forman’s 1st Brigade (Harford & Cecil Counties) at Hampstead Hill during Baltimore campaign.
