Description
The Maryland Journal and Baltimore Advertiser. Page 2 contains a letter (dated March 26, 1791) from John McDowell, President of St. John's College in Annapolis, Md., to President George Washington, thanking him on behalf of the faculty and himself for Washington's visit, beneath which is printed Washington's reply. Page 3 contains a proclamation of George Washington (dated March 30, 1791) for the laying out of the National Capital.
