Description
Letter written to Frances from Camp Devens, Massachusetts. He is sorry to hear that Frances quit her job because of the area but he preferes she quit rather stay in a bad situation. He thinks that Charlie is near the front; however, he still thinks the war will be over soon. He hasn't heard from Robbie or Charlie (brothers). He asks that Elvira send him cigarettes. It doesn't look good for getting a pass and he may just take "French" leave.
