Copy of "Remember Rudy's Films?" Tape Ten: videotape transfer of Rudolph Torovsky's home movies. Clips of family and friends from June 1967 to June 1973. Also contains TV footage of the News Parade episodes featuring the a review of the years 1945 and 1946 (some repeat footage in Tape #5), and the launch, landing on the moon and return of Apollo 11, crewed by Neil Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins. The War footage includes the death of President Roosevelt; President Truman; the Nazi surrender; celebrations in France, Holland, Denmark, and Norway; trials for the war criminals Hess, Goering, Von Runsdtedt, Petain, Laval, and Yamashita; US Marines in Iwo Jima and Okinawa; the dropping of the atomic bombs; Japan's surrender; the return of US soldiers; riots in Italy; prisoners of war and wounded soldiers; the Belgian Plane disaster; Paris Peace Conference; the Automobile's Golden Jubilee; new stealth airplanes; and atomic bombs in Bikini. The tape also contains footage of the family and friends at Ocean City, the Chincoteague Pony Swim and carnival, Nag's Head Beach, Shenandoah, and the Farmer's Market in Leanordtown, as well as celebrating various holidays together. |
