Copy of "Remember Rudy's Films?" Tape Five: videotape transfer of Rudolph Torovsky's home movies. Contains taped News Parade of the Year containing a review of important news clips from 1943, 1944, and 1945. These clips show important characters such as President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Pope Pius, General MacArthur, General Patton, Admiral Nimitz, and General Eisenhower. Important scenes include the liberation of France, the meeting in Casablanca, the recovery of the Phillippines, US Marines at Iwo-Jima, the inside of a concentration camp, the capture of Nuremberg, the fall of Berlin, the execution of Mussolini, the surrender of Germany, the death of Roosevelt, the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the surrender of the Japanese, and war trials for German and Japanese war criminals. The tape also contains footage of taped episodes on sport fishing at sea and the Circus. Several short clips show the inside of St. Elizabeth's Hospital including patients, an operation, equipment, treatment, classes for nurses and doctors, and metrazol shock therapy. At the end of the tape is scenes from clowns and donkeys playing baseball, a parade for the dedication of Governor Ritchie Highway, old cartoons, and a party for the Annapolis Power Squadron. |
