This file contains unfiled items found in this letter box. Included in this file is a pamphlet from Le Bien-Être du Blessé, a letter and accompanying pamphlet from The Board of Sunday Schools of the Methodist Episcopal Church on the Red Cross, a pamphlet from National Child Labor Committee, a letter from the World Trade Club promoting the conversion to a metric system for weights and measures, and an index card listing expenses for Council of Defense. In addition there are letters from Maryland Council of Defense, Women’s Section thanking for Miss Handy for her efforts. Miss Handy’s establishment of the Friendly Library as a means of patriotic education is commented on favorably in a letter from the Maryland Council of Defense, Women’s Section. Also included in this file are blank, addressed postcards from Miss Lucy Walker, Emergency Home Demonstration Agent.
