Correspondence in this file is related primarily to two topics: infant/child welfare and education. Rozelle Handy received letters from Charles F. Powlison of National Child Welfare Association, Caroline French Benton of the Better Babies Bureau at the Woman’s Home Companion, Edward M. Van Cleve of the National Committee for the Prevention of Blindness, Laura Clarke Gaffney of the Children’s Bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor, and Louise Schofield, Special Collaborator at the Department of the Interior Bureau of Education. In addition, this file includes correspondence from the local representatives for the Cooperative Extension Work in Agriculture and Home Economics for the State of Maryland; E.W.
