Description
Letter from William Cooke to James McHenry on July 15, 1807 regarding the future development plans of the Baltimore Water Company. Cooke explains a change in the plans and requests McHenry's consent for the Baltimore Water Company to divert several streams on McHenry's property so their flow runs into Baltimore's water supply.

Also contains a transcription of the original letter (two copies), and an article titled "Background Information on the Baltimore Drinking Water Supply System".
