Description
John Ramsay Clagett born in Alexandria Va. Oct. 28- 1826. son of Richard who was the son of Horatio who was the second son of Wm. Clagett who was the 8th son of John the Commissioner who was brother of Rev. Samuel Clagett. Rev. Samuel was father of the Bishop & son of Richard who was son of Capt. Thomas Clagett the Emigrant from Canterbury England 1671. He settled at St. Leonard's Creek, Calvert Co. Md.
