Description
Laws BLC No. [1], 1731 to 1752, MdHR 4541. Tooled vellum binding with twisted vellum sewn over leather spine reenforcements; dyed green vellum strips sewn over leather spine reenforcements onto the boards; marbled endpapers; label in what is probably iron gall ink written directly on spine. The watermark is a shield with a fleur-de-lis in it, surmounted by a crown, with a 4 immediately below the shield and the letters LVG under the 4. The countermark is the letters "IV". Text block is located in two volumes at msa_s973_10 (MdHR 4541-1) and msa_s973_11 (MdHR 4541-2). Images of the binding can be viewed at MSA SC 5797-3-5.
