Description
Fire Insurance Policy #9986 from the Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Baltimore County, to Dr. John (3.1) Ridout, for his house on Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, valued at $1500, furnishings $900, brick stable, wood and coal house $300, and brick office with lodging above $500. Ridout also carried other insurance on the same property with the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Montgomery County. (Note: The Company seal embossed on the certificate indicates incorporation in 1849 and shows an early B & O RR engine with cars.)
