"The Case of the Townland in Annapolis" by Daniel Dulany. Dulany charges that Mr. Bordley obtained a patent for land in Annapolis by fraud. Chancery Court declared the property in the possession of the Lord Proprietor. Gen'l Assembly paid Bordley's heir 200 pounds to release claim on the land.

Fire Insurance Policy #9986 from the Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Baltimore County, to Dr. John (3.1) Ridout, for his house on Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, valued at $1500, furnishings $900, brick stable, wood and coal house $300, and brick office with lodging above $500. Ridout also carried other insurance on the same property with the Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Montgomery County. (Note: The Company seal embossed on the certificate indicates incorporation in 1849 and shows an early B & O RR engine with cars.)

Chase had resided in AA County a number of years but " found it necessary for the support of his family to remove to Baltimore" in August, two months before the General Election in which he was returned as a delegate. His seat was in dispute.
