The newspaper was formed by the union of Edwards's Baltimore Daily Advertiser (Baltimore: 1793) and the Maryland Journal, & the Baltimore Advertiser (Baltimore: 1795) and was continued by the Maryland Journal, & Baltimore Advertiser (Baltimore: 1795).
