The Journal of the Times began publication September 12, 1818 and ceased March 6, 1819 [v. 1, no. 26]. It was published weekly. It was a magazine published without advertisements or local news, but featured a weekly summary of national news. The newspaper was continued by the Morning Chronicle and Baltimore Advertiser (Baltimore: 1819).
