The newspaper continues the Maryland Gazette (Annapolis: 1922) and was continued by the Maryland Gazette Glen Burnie News (Annapolis: 1951).

Archives' collection includes issues for June 1948-April 1951 and Tercentenary edition 1949 (MSA SC 1817).
