Collection History
(Annapolis, Anne Arundel County: Capital Publishing) The Evening Capital began publication August 3, 1922 [v. 77, no. 71] and ceased June 20, 1981. It was published daily, except Sunday. It was also published as the Annapolis Evening Capital. The newspaper continues the Evening Capital and Maryland Gazette (Annapolis: 1910) and was continued by the Capital (Annapolis: 1981). Archives' collection includes issues for January 11, 1939 [v. 108, no. 49] (MSA SC 141), June 30, 1962 (MSA SC 620), October 17, 1963 (MSA SC 624), February 23, 1976 bicentennial edition (MSA SC 1535), and 250th anniversary edition, 1977 (MSA SC 1840).
