(Bowie, Prince George's County: Bowie Blade, Inc.) The Bowie Blade began publication October 12, 1967 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased October 10, 1968 [v. 2, no. 41]. It was published weekly. Introductory issue dated October 12, 1967 and second issue dated October 19, 1967 both numbered v. 1, no. 1. The newspaper merged with the Post-Times (Bowie: 1967) to form the Bowie Blade and Post-Times (Bowie: 1968). Archives' collection includes issues for October 12-26, 1967, December 14-28, 1967, January 4-April 11, 1968, April 25, 1968, May 9-August 1, 1968, and August 15-September 5, 1968.
