(Annapolis, Anne Arundel County: W. M. Abbott) The Evening Capital and Maryland Gazette began publication February 10, 1910 [v. 52, no. 73] and ceased August 2, 1922 [v. 77, no. 70]. It was published daily, except Sunday. It was also published as the Evening Capital, the Maryland Gazette April 6, 1917-August 2, 1922 and the Annapolis Evening Capital and Maryland Gazette. The newspaper was formed by the union of the Evening Capital (Annapolis: 1884) and the Maryland Gazette (Annapolis: 1874) and was continued by the Evening Capital (Annapolis: 1922).
