The Crescent began publication May 26, 1893 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased January 14, 1898 [v. 5, no. 35]. It was published weekly. The newspaper merged with the Port Tobacco Times, and Charles County Advertiser (Port Tobacco: 1845) to form the Times Crescent (La Plata: 1898).
